Hope the New Year has brought in some great motivation and luck for a
Bigger, Better and Brighter year!

I’m here again to talk about the 1 thing that makes me wake up in the morning every day and head towards a healthy lifestyle!

Something that I passionately do to make me Look & FEEL GOOD and that is —- PILATES!

 

In the last couple of weeks, a few students approached me and asked why Private Sessions are so important!
(Private Sessions are 1-1 Pilates sessions with our highly certified instructors at our Studio).

There are a couple of reasons:

1) CONTROLOGY IS THE ORIGINAL NAME OF THE PILATES METHOD:
Private Sessions allow for much more efficient work on the body since the Instructor will always closely pay attention to correcting the student with Precision – Skill and Care. In such a setting, the level of concentration is higher as the focus is on 1 body which in turn allows for:

a. More Precision of Movement
b. Better Control
c. Focused Guidance to activate Proper Breathing Techniques

Students improve so much faster as Pilates MUST BE performed with 6 basic principles which are:

Precision —- Control —- Proper Breathing Technique —- Flow —- Centering —- Concentration.

This high level of attention and detail is key to achieving results and improving quickly!

 

2) REGULARITY IS KEY…MOTIVATION AND ENCOURAGEMENT WILL HELP:
In a Private session, you get closer to the Instructor as he or she will be able to quickly identify, record and monitor your progress levels as well as key areas of focus. This in turn will make you feel motivated as you are encouraged to provide your best. Moreover, our Instructors are more likely to challenge you to keep moving and setting new targets or number of reps during specific Pilates exercises to make you progress further and see the results right in front of your eyes!

Quicker results = high levels of motivation

 

3) POSTURAL CHANGE THROUGH BODY CONDITIONING:
In a Private session, your postural analysis is conducted at the beginning and then continuously monitored through. In Pilates, the most visible difference can be seen when the posture improves. We not only monitor changes in body, shape and size; we also look into how you feel and the ability to do certain / specific Pilates exercises that you may have not been able to do before! Therefore, there are several ways to determine results and overall success of our Pilates sessions.

It doesn’t matter which kind of result you want to achieve; you can achieve it through persistence!

 

4) REHABILITATION:
In a Private session, even if you are diagnosed with a specific pathology, such as fibromyalgia, dystonia, herniated disc, kyphosis, lordosis…etc. you will be able to see improvements as Pilates is a form of rehabilitation. Pregnant women and individuals with special needs can also do Pilates!

Pilates is therefore, open for ALL!

 

With over 20 years of experience in Pilates, I have seen bodies transformed and I know that this is possible for anyone who is driven about making a difference to their lives.
