This is the entry course for all Certifications with Swiss Pilates Institute. Before you enroll to any other courses on apparatus, we strongly advise you to start with Matwork Level 1 and 2 modules. As these lay out the solid foundation of the Pilates method. Matwork Level 1 teaches you in detail the history and the essence of the Pilates method as well as the philosophy and approach of the Swiss Pilates Institute. Further you will learn the beginner repertoire of Matwork and how to perform it and professionally teach it.
Content
Overview of the history of the Pilates method, philosophy of the Swiss Pilates Institute, the difference between classical Pilates and contemporary Pilates, the Pilates principles, the repertoire of the Pilates beginner level, focus and proper alignment of each exercises, essence of each exercises, modification and variation of each exercises, cueing, spotting and imagery.
