What is the content of the certification course ?
To receive your certificate, you are required to attend the following courses :
Matwork Level 1
3 Days
Learn about the beginner repertoire of Matwork, how to perform it and professionally teach it.
Matwork Level 2
2 Days
Further build on the knowledge of Level 1 and extend your repertoire to intermediate and advanced.
Matwork Level 3
3 Days
Further build on the knowledge of Level 2 and extend your repertoire to advanced.
Reformer Level 1
4 Days
Learn about the beginner repertoire of the reformer apparatus, how to perform it and professionally teach it.
Reformer Level 2
3 Days
Further build on the knowledge of Level 1 and extend your repertoire to intermediate and advanced.
Reformer Level 4
3 Days
Further build on the knowledge of Level 2 and extend your repertoire to advanced.

Learn about biomechanics, anatomy and postural analysis
Props

Learn how to enhance your classes by using props.
What will the examination consist of ?
You will be required to undertake two exams:
1 practical exam
1 written exam
Self-practice and practice teaching
Before taking examination, participants must perform self practice, observation and practice teaching. The Swiss Pilates Institute does not specify the number of hours needed to perform practice teaching and self-practicing.
However, the Swiss Pilates Institute expects students to prepare themselves to be ready for the examination.
Mentorship program
Mentorship program and special reduced class packages are available for SPI students at the Pilates Station.
